Meet our board 

The ANDI Board was selected through an open process, and includes members from public, private and not-for-profit sectors, elected for the skills, dedication and knowledge they bring to the organisation.

Geoff Woolcock (Board Chair) is a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Southern Queensland’s Institute for Resilient Regions, and an Adjunct Associate Professor at Griffith University and QUT. Geoff is an experienced social researcher with considerable expertise in social and community service planning and evaluation, including social impact assessment and community development. In addition to his role in ANDI, he is a board director of the Brisbane Housing Company and the Logan Child-Friendly Community Charitable Trust overseeing the high-profile collective impact initiative, Logan Together.

Elenie Poulos MAICD (Director) is a minister of the Uniting Church in Australia and former National Director of Uniting Justice Australia. She has been deeply engaged over many years in policy analysis and development in social and economic justice, human rights, peacemaking and the environment. Elenie is a PhD candidate at Maquarie University.

Mike Salvaris (Director) is a Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne. He is a former legal aid lawyer, tenants advocate, senior policy advisor and human rights and wellbeing researcher and is co-founder of the OECD Global Progress Research Network.

Gabrielle Kelly (Director) was until recently inaugural Director of the Wellbeing and Resilience Centre at the SA Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI). She has worked as a film-maker, digital media executive, social entrepreneur and strategist and ran the ground-breaking Adelaide Thinkers in Residence program.

Tom Crago (Director) is owner and CEO of internationally recognised video game developer Tantalus. He is a published author, has degrees in Arts, Law and International Business, is a Ph.D candidate at the University of Melbourne’s VCA and served on the federal government Industry Innovation Council.

Jacques de Vos Malan ​GAICD (Company Secretary) holds qualifications in music, company management and public policy. He is known as a sound artist, writer and artistic director. He has managed large projects in construction, the arts and interdisciplinary research, including the Australian Council of Learned Academies (ACOLA) and Melbourne Recital Centre. He is an Honorary Fellow of Melbourne University.
